Only 10 July 2015, SS Rajamouli gave India its most asked question with the release of ‘Bahubali: The Beginning’, ‘why did Kattappa kill Bahubali?’ Since then, there has hardly been a talk show in the country where this questioned has been asked to SS Rajamouli, Karan Johar, Rana Daggubati or any other person associated with the film. However, team Rajamouli has done incredibly well not to make the secret public. But, if you had watched the first part carefully maybe it isn’t very difficult to solve the mystery.
In a scene where Kattappa (played by Sathyaraj) while talking to Aslam Khan (cameo by Sudeep) says that he is just a slave and his job is to take orders and not to question them. Even though Mahendra Bahubali (Prabhas) was made the king of Mahismati, one could imagine that in a turn of events his brother Bhallal Dev (Rana Daggubati) took over by hook or crook and ordered his loyal servant Kattappa to kill Amarinder.

However, there are more important characters that can decide the actual turn of events. Bijjaladeva, father of Bhallal Dev that was played by Nassar could be the mastermind behind all the conspiracy. In the first part, not much was revealed about the character of Maharani Devasena (played by Anushka Shetty) and a possibility of a love triangle between her, Amarendra Bahubali and Bhallal Deva cannot be ruled out either. In most Bollywood movies, a female character leads to conflict between the male characters.
Another interesting character was of Aslam Khan played by Sudeep who made a brief appearance in the first part but left a message with Kattappa to recall him whenever he needs his service. Given that Bhallal Dev has a large army and is very difficult to beat, Aslam Khan may return in the second part to assist Amarendra Bahubali and Kattappa.

The trailer of the movie also shows an older Bhallal Dev coming face to face against the younger Bahubali which means the movie will have not one, but epic war sequences. The first look shows that Bahubali 2 can prove to be a treat for movie lovers in India with its stunning VFX, breathtaking fight sequences and brilliant plot.
