Who is Soundarya Sharma?

Early life and education

Born in 1994 in Delhi, Soundarya Sharma was raised by her parents Naresh Sharma and Usha Sharma, the latter a schoolteacher. Her artistic journey began early, nurtured by a passion for Indian classical music. Determined to refine her craft, she trained at the National School of Drama and was part of the ACT 1 Theatre group in Delhi.

Her pursuit of acting took her abroad, where she completed a workshop at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and later attended a short-term acting course at the New York Film Academy. This global exposure helped build a strong foundation in performance and stagecraft.

Soundarya Sharma’s career

Sharma made her film debut in 2017 with Ranchi Diaries, produced by veteran actor Anupam Kher and Rashmin Majithia. While the film marked her entry into Bollywood, it was her stint in Bigg Boss 16, hosted by Salman Khan, that made her a household name among Indian television audiences.
