Who is Ivan Vukomanovic?
Ivan Vukomanovic is a former professional football manager and player. He had previously coached the Kerala Blasters for the Indian Super League. During his time as a player, he played defense at midfield for notable clubs, including Red Star Belgrade, FC Köln, Bordeaux, and Royal Antwerp. Vukomanovic also represented the FR Yugoslavia national under-21 team.
Under his tenure, Kerala Blasters reached the 2021-22 ISL final and made three consecutive playoff appearances, setting a club record. He became a fan favorite for his attacking style, tactical acumen, and deep connection with players and supporters. Vukomanovic is also known for his aggressive 4-4-2 formation with high pressing and wide playmakers.

Marking his acting debut, Ivan Vukomanovic appears on the big screen for the first time in Karam. Affectionately called ‘Ashan’ by fans, the Serbian footballer plays the character of André Nicola, the antagonist in this action-thriller. This is not only his first project in the world of cinema but is also Vineeth’s directorial re-route to the thriller genre, a style shift from his otherwise romantic angles.
