War 2, the much-anticipated sequel of War, a franchise from the spy universe of Yash Raj Films, has witnessed a mixed performance at the Box Office. The Hrithik-starrer spy thriller has earned Rs 3.11 crore till 7 PM on its seventh day, August 20, according to Sacnilk. Simultaneously, the movie has touched the net India collection of Rs 196 crore till 7 PM.  The film has tumbled on weekdays after crossing the Rs 150 crore mark in the opening weekend. 

War 2 Box Office Collection

According to Industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie had a strong opening, earning Rs 52 crore on its first day and peaking on the second day with Rs 57.85 crore, driven primarily by a surge in its Hindi collection. The movie on days three and four saw the collection of Rs 33.25 crore and 32.65 crore, respectively.

However, the film saw a sharp decline after the weekend, with a significant 73.20 per cent drop on its first Monday, earning only Rs 8.75 crore. The collections remained low, with a slight increase on Tuesday followed by a steep drop on the seventh day (Wednesday), indicating a struggle to maintain momentum after the initial holiday-fueled success.

War 2 Day 7 occupancy rate

War 2, on its seventh day, had an overall Hindi occupancy of 9.37 per cent. The day started slowly with a morning occupancy of 7.11 per cent, which increased at a stable pace throughout the day,  reached 10.18 per cent in the afternoon and peaked at 10.81 per cent during the evening shows. 

The film was produced on a reported budget of Rs 300 to 400 crore, with Hritik Roshan and Jr NTR in lead roles. The film also featured Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor having crucial roles in the spy action thriller, continuing the YRF Spy Universe storyline.
