Taylor Swift rolled out with her newest album, ‘Life of a Showgirl’, yesterday, October 3. While Swifties are already listening to the 12 tracks on loop, some millennials are finally aware of the release. After crashing Spotify in the US, the fans received yet another surprise from the billionaire indie singer. Acknowledging her engagement to Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce for the first time, Taylor Swift debuted as a ‘fiancée’ on The Graham Norton Show.

The power couple announced their engagement via a joint social media post. A caption that has made history, received over 35 million likes; it read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Flaunting the rock on her finger, Taylor Swift called the $650,000 engagement ring a “hardware upgrade”. The video, now viral, had a complete breakdown of how her millionaire jock planned the gram-worthy proposal.

‘He went all out, 10 out of 10’

Telling the UK talk show, Taylor Swift said she was taken aback by the proposal. “He really crushed it when it came to surprising me,” Swift, 35, told Norton about Kelce, who is reportedly referenced multiple times in her new album. Explaining that it happened just after they finished filming the New Heights Podcast, hosted by Kelce’s brother. “We filmed the podcast for about three or four hours … and meanwhile, behind his house, he was having the whole back garden turned into this.”

She revealed that Kelce actually planned the perfect hiding spot for photographers. There was a “wall of hedges that wasn’t there before. And inside, was my tour photographer hiding in the bushes.” She added, “He went all out, 10 out of 10.” Flaunting the ring to the co-panellists, she seemed really proud and elated by this life update. Norton went on to ask about her wedding plans, and Swift just hinted, “You’ll know.” Revealing that the planning hasn’t begun, she said that she wanted to do the “album stuff first.” She sported a be-jewelled halter-neck black dress as she showed off her “hardware upgrade”.
