Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s wedding to music composer Palash Muchhal has been postponed after her father, Srinivas Mandhana, suffered a heart attack. The incident occurred at the Mandhana Farm House in Samdol, Sangli, where preparations were in full swing. Smriti’s business manager, Tuhin Mishra, confirmed the development.

Srinivas Mandhana was immediately taken to a private hospital in Sangli for urgent medical care. Family sources said Smriti and other close relatives rushed to the hospital as soon as they received the news. Doctors have stated that his condition is currently stable and he remains under observation.

New wedding date not decided yet

Following the medical emergency, the wedding management team announced that the scheduled ceremony for the day had been cancelled. Decorations at the venue are now being removed, and the family has not yet decided on a new date for the wedding.

The marriage, which was expected to be one of the most talked-about events this season, now stands postponed indefinitely. Both families have requested privacy during this difficult time as they focus entirely on Mr. Mandhana’s recovery.

Fans across the country have been sending wishes and prayers for his good health, hoping the family finds strength in this challenging moment.

Smriti Mandhana, Palash Muchchal’s wedding

Smriti and Palash were expected to get married on November 23 in Sangli, Maharashtra, in the presence of close family members and fans. Several players from the Women’s World Cup–winning Indian cricket team were also with Smriti during the celebrations.

The star batter said yes to her long-time boyfriend, music composer Palash Muchhal, in a proposal that was straight out of Bollywood. Palash surprised her at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, the very ground where India won the Women’s World Cup earlier this month.

Smriti and Palash began dating in 2019 but managed to keep their relationship away from the spotlight for many years. The first hint came in October 2025, when Palash, during a press event in Indore, casually mentioned that Smriti would soon be the ‘daughter-in-law of Indore.’ The remark immediately made headlines and confirmed what fans had long suspected.
