Sikandar starring Salman Khan was one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year. But just hours before its release today, on March 30, the movie fell prey to online piracy and was leaked online just few hours before it released in the theatres.
This online piracy was condemned by trade analyst Komal Nahta, who wrote on X, “It’s the worst nightmare for any producer. A film is being leaked before its theatrical release. Unfortunately, that’s what happened last evening to Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Sikandar’, slated to release today in cinemas. The producer had the authorities pull the film down from 600 sites last night, but the harm had been done. The multiplication continued and is continuing. Condemnable act which could cost the producer of the Salman starrer dear!”

Neither Salman nor the makers have issued any official statement yet.
This leak was also widely criticised by Salman’s fans who urged everyone to watch the movie only in theatres. While one fan wrote, “Don’t worry about leaked Joh kismat mi Likha honga wahi honga, Sikandar will be a huge blockbuster that’s it,” another said, “Guys relax Team lagi hui h links hatane… Aur inki band bhi bajaane.. Stay positive kuch nhi hota as #SalmanKhan k real fans jayege hi movie dekhne… And box office collection jo bhi hoga woh organic way se hoga… Isse jyada proud moment kya hosakta.”
Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Nadiadwala and Grandsons, and Salman Khan Films, Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anjini Dhawan, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles.
