Shanaya Kapoor’s Bollywood debut might be taking a while, but we have an exciting update. Student Of The Year 3, which was supposed to release as a movie will now be released as a web series, and it is slated to go on floors soon. And now, as per a report on Mid day, backed by Pinkvilla, the show will start filming from April 20, 2025.
Helmed by debutant director Reema Maya, the web series is reported to be a six-episode show. The report also mentions that the show will be shot over 30 days. The publication quoted its sources, saying, “SOTY 3 has been taking shape for the past six years. Finally, Karan has given the green signal, and the unit plans to begin filming it from April 20. It will be a tight schedule of just over 30 days to shoot six episodes.”
Other reports suggest that Shanaya will play a double role in the series, which is expected to release on JioHotstar.
Student of the Year is a franchise that is known for launching new faces in Bollywood. Previously, the first movie launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra in Bollywood, while the next one in 2019 launched Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. And now, SOTY 3 will mark Shanaya Kapoor’s debut in the OTT space.
