Sanam Teri Kasam box office collections managed to reach just Rs 1.25 cr on day 1 (opening day collection) after being hit by a slowdown from the word go. Overall total (gross approx.) is Rs 1.79 crore.

Sanam Teri Kasam on Friday had managed an occupancy rate of 20%, indicating that the movie had, first of all, not been marketed enough or properly, and second that the paying public was not interested in a love story even though it may have released virtually near Valentine’s Day.

With a Pakistani actress in a lead role, Sanam Teri Kasam is an intense love story and that USP was expected to give it a boost, but at the moment there is no sign of it as many theatre seats, especially in the morning shows, went empty.

Sanam Teri Kasam has not been able to generate any hype around itself and it does not boast any top star, which would have attracted their fan base. And the actors themselves are new and raw.

In terms of good things going for the movie, Sanam Teri Kasam has received somewhat positive reviews and is expected to fare better at multiplexes; however the film will have to rely on strong word of mouth to make an impact at the box office.

The film has Mawra Hocane and Harshwardhan Rane in leading roles. Sanam Teri Kasam is an intense love story of two diametrically opposite people Saraswathy Parthsarthy aka Saru (Mawra Hocane), a Tamilian Brahmin and her wealthy neighbour Inder (Harshwardhan Rane).

Sanam Teri Kasam box office collections: If the movie survives into the Valentine’s Day weekend, it may gain traction and do well as couples look for movies based on love stories to watch that are running in cinemas. The next few days are crucial. (Bollywood Hungama)
