After Airlift last week, this week too has seen the release of an inspirational tale in the form of Saala Khadoos, but it has not really made a mark on Friday.

Reports suggest that Saala Khadoos, which features R Madhavan, has got off to a slow start with just a 15-20% occupancy rate. On the other hand, last week’s release, the Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift continues its run in theatres recording occupancy rates higher than the new release.

On the whole, Saala Khadoos, which received mixed reviews, will have to depend on strong word of mouth to do better than average, but is expected to fare better in metros and multiplexes.

However, it is Airlift that will emerge as the winner in its second weekend as well, with overall collections getting a boost thanks to the underperformance of both the new releases Saala Khadoos and Mastizaade, while last week’s other release Kya Kool Hain Hum will fade.
