Country singer Lynn Anderson has died following a heart attack. She was 67.
Lynn Anderson, who was best known for her 1970 song ‘Rose Garden’ and held the Top Grossing Song by a Female Artist for 27 years with the hit song, took her last breath at a Nashville hospital on Thursday, the Mirror reported.
Lynn Anderson had made her debut as a young singer on ‘The Lawrence Welk Show’ between 1967 and 1969, and Billboard had recognised her as Artist of The Decade between 1970 and 1980.
Lynn Anderson has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and some of her hits include ‘What a Man,’ ‘My Man Is,’ ‘Rocky Top,’ ‘You’re My Man’ and ‘How Can I Unlove You.’
Lynn Anderson is survived by her father, partner, and her three children Lisa Sutton, Gray Stream and Melissa Hempel.
