Actress Rashmika Mandanna, initially known for her work in South Indian cinema, has now become a widely recognized star across India. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, she shared her thoughts on the unity of the film industries in both North and South India, advocating for the term “Indian film industry” to reflect this cohesion.

Rashmika emphasized the importance of recognizing the industry’s collective identity, saying, “I think it’s about time that we start calling out the industry as the Indian film industry because we are all in the entertainment industry, and we are all one country.”

Regarding her upcoming film, “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” Rashmika expressed enthusiasm, highlighting the extensive effort and attention to detail that has gone into its production. She stated, “It’s been going great. We are almost 50-plus days into the film, and there’s a lot more to do, but as I always keep promising my audience it’s going to be bigger than ever before.”

In a separate interview with Pinkvilla, Rashmika teased the scale of “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” promising an epic experience for viewers. She mentioned, “One thing I am going to promise is that it’s going to be massive.”

Rashmika also hinted at the possibility of releasing “Pushpa 2” in Japan simultaneously, indicating discussions around a potential international release strategy. Notably, she recently made history as the first Indian presenter at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo. “Pushpa 2: The Rule” is scheduled for release on Independence Day, August 15, featuring Allu Arjun in the lead role and directed by Sukumar.
