The Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo box office collections have been rising hand over fist since the release of the film last week during the festive season.

Facing no competition at all from any other previous or current releases, the film looks set for a week long run at theatres in India and abroad. In fact, the way things are going for the movie, it is questionable whether any other movie, barring by the other two Khans (Aamir and Shah Rukh), Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, would have been able to stop the juggernaut-like progress of PRDP.

While the domestic box office collections figures of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo have ben soaring inexorably, simultaneously, the overseas reports have also been showing a very positive trend for the film.

In this box office report, take a look at the opening weekend collections of PRDP in the overseas markets while comparing them to previous releases. PRDP has come as yet another endorsement of Salman Khan’s ability to pull audiences into the theatres by the tens of thousands and it is no surprise that the film comes in second place by collecting $8.9 mn, just behind Aamir Khan’s PK that collected $10.2 mn.
