Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 2: The cross-cultural rom-com starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor performed well on its first weekend after a slow opening day. As per the industry tracker, Sacnilk, the film grossed Rs 16.25 crore on Day 2 after a 9 crore collection on Saturday.

The Tushar Jalota directorial did not create big waves in theaters, but garnered several positive comments despite comparisons to films like Chennai Express and 2 States. After mixed reviews on the film, the audience was united on one front, lauding the music of Param Sundari.

Param Sundary Box Office Day 2: Recovering occupancy

As compared to Day 1, Param Sundari on its opening Saturday fared well in terms of occupancy rates. With a trend observed in Bengaluru and Chennai, the numbers lifted in Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Delhi NCR. The overall occupancy rates of Param Sundari neared 18.13%, with high popularity in night shows. The lowest remained Surat, as the audience from Mumbai increased by a thin margin.

With nearly 5000 shows running in India, the 2-hour romantic comedy also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Renji Panicker, Inayat Verma, and Siddhartha Shankar in key roles.

Movie review Param Sundari

After praising the film’s song, ‘Pardesiya’, the film failed to gain love on social media. A netizen on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “Tushar Jalota shoots scenes like an influencer who clicks photos for his social media posts, bland beauty masquerading as gorgeous eye candy.”

After the 25% surge in collections over the weekend, the Param Sundari team hopes for a higher collection today, on Day 3. However, some reviews praised the impressive scenery of the shooting location, calling it a “breezy rom-com with the right mix of fun & feel-good, no boring moments.”

The cultural misadventure between Delhi’s Param, played by Sidharth Malhotra, and Kerala’s Sundari, who Janhvi Kapoor portrayed has also faced steep competition from Lokah Chapter 1, the Malayali film making big moves at the box office.

Sidharth Malhotra’s wife, and popular Bollywood actor, Kiara Advani, took to Instagram to support the film. She called it “pure magic on screen”.
