Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 12: Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy Param Sundari has managed to hold its ground at the box office despite stiff competition from new Bollywood and Hollywood releases. After having a smooth run in its first week, the film entered a more challenging second week, going head-to-head with Tiger Shroff’s action entertainer Baaghi 4, Vivek Agnihotri’s political drama The Bengal Files, and Hollywood horror thriller The Conjuring: Last Rites.

Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 12 show some stability

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Param Sundari earned around Rs 85 lakh on its 12th day (second Tuesday). While the collection remains modest, it shows a small improvement from Day 11 (Monday), when the film registered its lowest figure of Rs 75 lakh. With these numbers, the film’s total domestic box office earnings now stand at approximately Rs 47.60 crore.

Trade experts believe that while weekday earnings have slowed, the movie still has the potential to cross the crucial Rs 50 crore milestone by the end of its second week, provided it maintains steady footfalls over the next few days.

Param Sundari Box Office journey so far

The film began its run with a strong opening weekend, collecting Rs 26.75 crore in just three days. It earned Rs 7.25 crore on its first Friday (August 29), jumped 30 per cent on Saturday with Rs 9.25 crore, and reached its highest single-day collection on Sunday at Rs 10.25 crore.

By the end of its first week, Param Sundari had amassed a total of around Rs 39 crore. However, the second week brought a visible dip. Day 8 collections fell to Rs 1.75 crore, while Day 9 recorded Rs 2 crore. Sunday gave it some relief with Rs 2.5 crore, but weekday figures since then have dropped below Rs 1 crore.

Param Sundari: Story and cast

Directed by debutant filmmaker Raghav Anand, Param Sundari blends modern romance with cultural contrasts. The story follows Param (Sidharth Malhotra), a wealthy Delhi-based entrepreneur who invests heavily in start-ups. His latest project leads him to Soulmates, an AI-powered matchmaking app, where he meets Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a traditional girl from Kerala who manages her family’s homestay with her uncle, a Kalari Payattu martial arts expert.

What begins as an experiment on an app soon develops into an unexpected love story, exploring themes of ambition, tradition, and emotional connection. Alongside the lead pair, the film also stars Inayat Verma, Sanjay Kapoor, and Manjot Singh in important roles.

Param Sundari vs Saiyaara

While Param Sundari was expected to be the biggest romantic entertainer of the year, it faces tough competition from Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, a surprise blockbuster starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The film has already emerged as the second-highest grosser of the year, winning audiences with its fresh storyline and chemistry between the leads.

Trade analysts note that the star power of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor gave Param Sundari a strong opening, but its long-term box office success depends on whether it can withstand the Saiyaara wave and hold steady against newer releases in the coming weeks.

For now, with Rs 47.60 crore in its collection, Param Sundari is inching closer to the Rs 50 crore mark, a significant milestone for the film’s team and fans.
