While most Oscar nominees will walk away without a golden statue, they certainly won’t leave empty-handed. This year’s “Everyone Wins Nominee Gift Bag”, curated by Los Angeles-based marketing company Distinctive Assets, is worth over $217,000 and is filled with an eclectic mix of extravagant gifts, film-inspired goodies, and — perhaps most unexpectedly — a nod to disaster relief efforts.

Los Angeles was devastated by wildfires earlier this year and that reality has made its way into Hollywood’s most lavish gift package. Alongside luxury skincare products and five-star vacations, nominees will receive a one-year membership to Bright Harbor, a disaster recovery service assisting survivors in rebuilding their lives. And in the spirit of generosity, each nominee can pass along 10 additional memberships to friends, family or even fans who lost their homes in the fires.

Glamour meets genetics and magic

Of course, no Oscar swag bag would be complete without some pure, indulgent fun. This year, the nominees will be treated to vacations in the Maldives, a wellness retreat in Sri Lanka or a five-star stay in Barcelona.

But the perks don’t stop there. The lucky recipients will also be gifted a private in-home magic show from a top illusionist, a deep dive into their ancestry with a specialised DNA kit and even designer pet coats made from upcycled luxury fabrics — because every Hollywood pup deserves couture.

Hollywood, high-stress and high times

As award season frenzy reaches its peak, stress levels soar. The solution? Cannabis, apparently. This year’s swag bag includes four different cannabis products, from rose gold vape pens to THC-infused margaritas, offering nominees a way to unwind in true California style. According to Buzz Feed, the bags also contain a number of cannabis/THC products. Among them, one is a $160 product from Beboe, which is also referred to as the “Hermès of Marijuana”.

Beyond the glitz and glamour, Distinctive Assets uses these sought-after bags to highlight small businesses, minority-owned brands and companies committed to social impact. So while only a handful of stars will take home an Oscar, all 25 top acting and directing nominees will leave with a bag full of indulgence, generosity and a little bit of Hollywood magic.
