Last week we saw the release of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Baby’, which was highly acclaimed. Though the film opened on an average note, collections picked up over the weekend, breaking the spell of slow performers. This week we see the release of three films, ‘Khamoshiyan’, ‘Hawaizaada’ and ‘Rahasya’ that offer the audience a choice of three different genres.
Unfortunately, reviews for all three films have been below average, and the same has been reflected in their opening figures as well. Reports suggest that while Khamoshiyan box office collections were marginally better as compared to ‘Hawaizaada’. ‘Rahasya’ that does not even feature in the morning shows, has an uphill task at gaining a foothold in the market. If that wasn’t enough, the previous release ‘Baby’ that had a stellar first weekend, is still running strong and is expected to dominate over these three new releases.
Overall, Khamoshiyan box office collections were reportedly Rs 1.92 crore on the opening day.
