Wake up! There’s another millionaire wedding in town. Raju Mantena, the Indian-American pharma mogul is set to host some of the biggest Hollywood and Bollywood stars for his daughter, Neta Mantena’s wedding in Udaipur. As netizens compare it to Anant and Radhika Ambani’s viral Jamnagar wedding, they cannot get over Karan Johar as the Sangeet host.

Wrapping up day one festivities on November 21, several clips have gone viral on social media. One such video shows the Bollywood producer in his ‘Koffee’ element on stage, entertaining the couple with his signature award-show anchoring. However, he left the ‘Koffee’ behind and performed a segment during the festivities with the couple in question called ‘Spill the Tea with Me’. Reacting to his speaking style, the Internet could not help but compare his performance to Bollywood award shows such as IIFA.

Johar performs Koffee live

Introducing the Sangeet segment by the name ‘Spill the Tea with Me’, Karan Johar said, “Welcome to ‘Spill the Tea with Me’…This is your favourite spot for the hottest gossip, biggest stars, and juiciest conversations in our film fraternity.” Introducing the couple in question, he introduced the millionaire couple who are set to tie the knot today, November 22.

The two-day festivity will welcome global stars Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber, and the US President’s son, Donald Trump Jr. In addition to this, the Bollywood gang will also be a part of the festivities, including Ranveer Singh, Madhur Dixit, and Hrithik Roshan, among others.

‘Who says money can’t buy everything?’

Reacting to the viral moment recreated by Karan Johar at the industrialist’s wedding function, netizens could not help but wonder whose wedding it is. “Who says money can’t buy everything?,” commented a user under the viral video. While another user felt, “SRK ka business cheen lia [He stole SRK’s business],” while others opined that Bollywood stars lining up to perform at the tycoon’s wedding function was a “recession indicator.”

Another comment jokingly wrote, “Kaunse OTT pe aaega ye [Which OTT platform will stream this].”

“This looks like an IIFA award,” felt another, reacting to Karan Johar’s rehearsed wordings and staged expressions. However, fans stuck to their preference for Shah Rukh Khan’s wedding performances over talk shows.
