Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office collection Day 13: The Rishab Shetty directorial has taken the box office by storm, breaking its own record to become the second-biggest film in India in 2025. Ranking below Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, Kantara Chapter 1 has also become the Kannada film industry’s biggest hit so far. As the streak of success slows down, weekdays saw a 66% dip in sales. However, Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 inches closer to the Rs 500 crore mark gradually.
After collecting Rs 337 crore in its first week, on its second Friday, Kantara Chapter 1 grossed Rs 22.25 crore. Seeing a jump on the weekends, the second weekend brought in nearly Rs 80 crore. However, the steep decline on Monday brought in Rs 13.35 crore and Rs 13.5 crore on Day 13. Thus, after Tuesday, the total box office collection of Kantara Chapter 1 touched Rs 465 crore.
Kantara Chapter 1 box office day 13: Kannada occupancy dips
After a blockbuster run at the box office, Rishab Shetty’s action-thriller showed declining occupancy rates in Kannada. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Kantara Chapter 1 in Kannada had an overall occupancy rate of 29.18%. Across the 920 shows scheduled in Bengaluru, occupancy stood at 27% in Bengaluru. It remained steadily popular in Mysuru, with 40% occupancy across 100+ shows in the region.
A major driving force of the film, the Hindi audience declined, too. Kantara Chapter 1 in Hindi had an overall occupancy rate of 26% and Delhi NCR brought fairly equal numbers, as in Bengaluru. Across 971 screens showing the Rishab Shetty movie, 26.75% theatres were filled in Delhi NCR. Similarly, numbers were higher in Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad.
