‘Jamtara 2’ Actor Sachin Chandwade Passes Away: Marathi actor Sachin Chandwade, known for his work in the Hindi web series Jamtara 2, has died by suicide at the age of 25. According to Maharashtra Times, the actor was found hanging from a ceiling fan by his family members, who immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital near his village in Jalgaon district on October 23. As his condition worsened, he was shifted to a hospital in Dhule, where he passed away on October 24 at around 1:30 am during treatment.

The exact reason behind his suicide is not yet known. As per Maharashtra Times, Parola police have registered an accidental death case and are investigating further.

Sachin rose to fame after Jamtara 

Sachin, originally from Parola in Jalgaon, worked as a software engineer at Pune IT Park, but acting remained his true passion. He had been waiting for the release of his upcoming Marathi film Asurvan and had shared a post about it on Instagram just five days before his death. The young actor was also to appear in the next season of Jamtara and had earlier acted in the film Vishvaj Close. Apart from films and digital work, he was actively involved in cultural activities and performed in the Dhol Tasha squad during Ganeshotsav and Gudi Padwa celebrations.

Chandwade rose to wider recognition through his performance in Jamtara 2, the Netflix crime drama based on phishing scams in small-town India. Though his screen time was limited, his natural performance was appreciated by viewers and industry colleagues, who described him as humble, disciplined, and dedicated to improving his craft.

Family has not issued any official statement yet

His sudden death has left the Marathi film industry and his well-wishers shocked. The makers of Asurvan and his family have not yet issued official statements on his passing.

Sachin’s demise has once again raised concerns about the mounting stress faced by young artists in the entertainment industry, with many expressing grief and urging for mental health awareness in such fields.
