Netflix’s Indian adaptation of the Spanish OTT series ‘Elite’, the Alhuwalia-Dharmani-Mehta directorial ‘Class’ released in 2023. Following the rather dramatic lives of a posh private school in Delhi, it quickly turns into a drama thriller.

Exclusively speaking to financialexpress.com on the sidelines of Lakme Fashion Week 2025, Ayesha Kanga, who brought Yashika’s character to life, gave us an inside scoop into the Class Season 2 renewal. As fans and audiences await the comeback, several speculations that were abuzz finally come to a halt.

Is Class Season 2 coming?

When asked for a comment on the new season of ‘Class’, Ayesha Kanga seemed disappointed. “It’s only bad news,” she sighed and told us that “it’s not happening.” Her comment bashes several reports which claimed that the shooting for Class Season 2 had begun in the late months of 2024. As per the last cast interviews, it appeared as though the script was in the final stages, and even the filming had begun.

But Kanga silenced those rumours. However, there has been no official comment from Netflix on the matter yet. In March 2023, a social media blast read, “We know how much you loved this course, so we signed you up for another exciting semester. Class will be back with a new season!”
