K-pop star Jackson Wang made a memorable appearance on the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, bringing his signature charm and humour to the stage. While his witty one-liners kept the audience entertained, one tongue-in-cheek remark by the K-pop star triggered a wave of concern and affection from Indian fans online.

“This is my second time in India, but no one recognised me at the clubs,” Jackson joked during the episode. “Whenever someone asked for an autograph, it was always ‘for a friend’, never for themselves. Maybe this is my last visit to India. I am so sad,” he said, prompting laughter but also an emotional response from fans.

When host Kapil Sharma asked the live audience who among them were Jackson’s fans, nearly everyone raised their hands. Jackson responded with a chuckle, calling them “very good actors,” keeping the mood lighthearted.

Clips from the episode quickly went viral on social media, with fans reassuring Jackson of his immense popularity in India. Many expressed their admiration and urged him to visit again soon, turning his joking complaint into a trending topic.

This episode was filmed during Jackson’s recent visit to India while promoting his new album MAGICMAN 2. He appeared on the show alongside actors Vijay Varma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Pratik Gandhi, and Jitendra Kumar.

Jackson, a member of the K-pop group GOT7 and now a successful solo artist, first visited India in 2023 when he performed at Lollapalooza India. Earlier this year, he collaborated with Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh on the single Buck.

Kapil also playfully brought up Jackson’s previous appearance with Bollywood actor Disha Patani. In response, Jackson clarified they are “only friends” and reiterated he is not dating anyone currently.

Though his comments were made in jest, Indian fans flooded social media with messages of love, clearly showing Jackson that he’s far from forgotten in India.
