Pamela Bach, who is fondly known for her roles in Baywatch and Knight Rider, died by suicide at the age of 62 on March 5. The ex-wife of David Hasselhoff, Pamela was found dead in her Los Angeles home. According to reports, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner declared her death a suicide as a gunshot wound was found in her head.

Several recent reports suggest that when Pamela Bach’s family did not hear from her, they checked in on her and found her dead.

Her ex-husband David Hasselhoff’s team has shared a statement with the PEOPLE, which says, “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

The actress met Hasselhoff on the sets of TV series Knight Rider, where she was acting with him. The two got married in 1989. Later, they starred together in the popular TV show Baywatch. They later got divorced in 2006.

Bach had two daughters with David –Taylor, aged 34, and Hayley, 32.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Pamela Bach started her acting career in the 1970s. Her acting projects include several TV shows like The Young and the Restless, Cheers, The Fall Guy, T.J. Hooker, and more.

The actress’s representative, Sharon Kelly, told TMZ she was shocked by her death. “My heart goes out to her family, her beautiful daughters and granddaughter who Pamela constantly gushes about and loves so dearly,” she said.
