Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has decided not to take the acting route, and is pursuing a career in direction. His much talked about directorial debut Ba***ds Of Bollywood on Netflix has got fans eagerly waiting for the show. While the internet is abuzz with every bit of news around the show, Netflix’s Vice President of Content, Monika Shergill recently divulged major details about Aryan Khan’s debut show, adding to the excitement.
Calling the show “very delightful and emotional ride for everyone,” Monika said during an interview with IndiaTV ShowBiz, “I am so excited about Aryan Khan’s debut series. It will have laughter and everything that you see in the best kind of Bollywood films.”
She also opened up about the professional bond she shares with Shah Rukh Khan, saying, “With Shah Rukh, it has been an enduring relationship across formats.”
She also shared that Netflix India has had a journey of collaborating with a diverse set of filmmakers and creators. While some of them were enthusiastic about the world of digital streaming, some others needed some more convincing.
Recalling a meeting with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whose show Heeramandi streamed on Netflix, Monika said, “With SLB, when you are discussing things with him, it is important to have street food on the table, he loves having street food.”
She also spilled the beans on how it is like working with Aditya Chopra. “With Aditya Chopra, it’s an intense discussion. He likes to know how the audience is thinking and what becomes successful. It helps him create for the audience who goes to theatre but behaves differently on streaming. It is very joyful with Karan, had a great time making The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. With Shah Rukh, it has been an enduring relationship across formats.”
Even Saif Ali Khan praised Aryan Khan’s debut show “fantastic” at the recently held WAVES Summit 2025. He also revealed that his children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, will also appear on the show.
