Haq box office collection day 6: Based on the landmark judgement of the Shah Bano case that changed India’s legal history, Haq has had a decent run on the box office. Playing Shazia, Yami Gautam embodies the protagonist and has received wide acclaim for her performance. Emraan Hashmi, popularly known as Bollywood’s romance hero, has portrayed Abbas, Gautam’s legal opposition.

After a slow opening day of Rs 1.75 crore, Haq climbed nearly 91% over the weekend. However, as the week comes to an end, it has given stiff competition to Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘The Girlfriend’, a Telugu romantic drama, exploring the harsh realities of modern-day relationships.

The opening weekend for Haq was overall decent as it soared past Rs 6 crore after grossing more than Rs 3 crore on each day. An uptick from its slow opening day response, Haq saw a hopeful rise but quickly faced the Monday blues.

On its opening Monday, Haq collected Rs 1.05 crore, which was a 72% decline from Sunday. Managing to stay afloat the Rs 1 crore mark, it neared Rs 2 crore on Tuesday and grossed Rs 1.15 crore on Day 6. The Yami Gautam-Emraan Hashmi courtroom drama will also face Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De 2 in cinemas tomorrow, November 14. Releasing on the Children’s Day weekend, the families will be in for an entertaining treat. However, as the occupancy numbers dip staggeringly low, Haq managed to fill an average of 8.88% seats on Day 6. Delhi NCR disappointed after a 6.5% occupancy across 548 shows, while Mumbai and Bengaluru remained in the double-digit arena with 450 shows combined.
