Happy Patel trailer: Directed by Emmy-nominated comedian Vir Das and produced by Aamir Khan, the Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos trailer is finally out. Released on the official YouTube channel of Aamir Khan Talkies, the comedy-drama is all set for a January 2026 release.
With Vir Das in his true element, he features as Happy Patel, a wannabe international spy, with hidden roots in India. In his debut directorial, he faces violence, the Goa Police, and an unexpected romantic trope with Mithila Palkar of Little Things fame. Facing Aamir Khan in a spirited role, the straight-haired Bob Dylan hairstyle remains a constant feature.

Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos stars Vir Das, Mithila Pakar, Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi, and Srushti Tawade. This comedy-drama also marks the historic comeback of Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na actor Imran Khan. His theatrical feature is one of the most anticipated comebacks of 2025, among Bollywood fans.
Co-directed by Kavi Shashtri, Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos has been co-written by Amogh Ranadive. Laced with bilingual humour and an attempt show how ‘India is for beginners’ as opposed to the popular meme template that isn’t, Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos will release on January 16 in theatres only.
