Google Trends: Prabhas or Uppalapati Venkata Suryanarayana Prabhas Raju has held the title of Telugu cinema’s superstar for a while now. After delivering a megahit Baahubali 2 in 2017, which grossed over Rs 1700 crore globally, he prepares for his October release, Baahubali: The Epic.
Ahead of that, marking his 46th birthday today, it was officially announced that Prabhas will star in Hanu Raghavapudi’s ‘Fauzi’. Following this, Google Trends search volume surged by over 300% and more than 2000 searches in India, over the past four hours. Here’s a surge graph showing the growing interest among Indian audiences.
‘Fauzi’: Prabhas’ newest
Releasing the official poster of the film, the official Instagram page announced Prabhas’ recent venture. With a couplet made for the bilingual film in the caption, it drew poetic inspiration from the Mahabharata. It read:
पद्मव्यूह विजयी पार्थः — “The conqueror of the Padmavyuha, Arjuna (Partha).”
पाण्डवपक्षे संस्थित कर्णः — “Karna, standing on the side of the Pandavas.”
गुरुविरहितः एकलव्यः — “Ekalavya, the one without a guru (teacher).”
जन्मनैव च योद्धा एषः — “He who is a warrior by birth.”
The verse symbolises the Fauzi protagonist, portrayed by Prabhas, as a modern-day archetype embodying valour, loyalty, and innate heroism, blending the mythic legacies of Arjuna, Karna, and Ekalavya into a single heroic identity.
This came after the makers, Mythri Movie Makers, shared a poster just displaying the letter ‘Z’. It set social media abuzz and excited them about the upcoming film from the team. Fauzi also stars actor-dancer Imanvi, alongside Prabhas, with veteran Bollywood actors Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, with Jaya Prada.
Prabhas: Upcoming projects
Venturing into the horror-comedy genre, Prabhas is set to feature in ‘Rajasaab’. Releasing in January 2026, he has a dual role in the film. Several reports also rumour a project with Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, called Spirit. This action thriller will be released in 2027.
