War 2 the next high-octane chapter in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe, as two cinematic heavyweights—Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR—prepare to share the screen for the first time. The film also marks a significant milestone in Jr NTR’s film career, who will be making his highly awaited debut in Hindi cinema.
On Friday, Hrithik Roshan sparked speculation among fans with a cryptic tweet directed at Jr NTR. “Hey @tarak9999, think you know what to expect on the 20th of May this year? Trust me you have NO idea what’s in store. Ready?” he wrote.
The tweet has fueled excitement, particularly as it coincides with Jr NTR’s birthday on May 20, leading fans to believe a major announcement or teaser from War 2 may be unveiled on that day.
Production on War 2 has already generated buzz, with Hrithik Roshan and co-star Kiara Advani previously sharing glimpses from the set.
A while back Hrithik roshan shared a picture of himself on Instagram with his back to the camera, gazing out over the landscape. Dressed in a crisp white vest and striped trousers, he added the caption “Taking it all in.” The photo, captured by stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, also included a subtle nod to the film with the hashtag #War2.
Actor and musician Saba Azad, Roshan’s partner, commented on the post with a simple but affectionate message: “My love,” accompanied by heart emojis.

Regarding the shooting schedule in Italy, a source, earlier, told IANS, “When you have two of the most good-looking actors in the Indian film industry paired for the first time, you need to give audience songs that will present them in their hottest best. War 2 is going to do exactly that with Hrithik and Kiara as the two are headed to Italy to shoot a massively mounted romantic number that will be shot for around 6 days.”
