Game Changer, the much-anticipated Telugu directorial debut of Shankar, starring Ram Charan, Anjali, and Kiara Advani, generated strong initial expectations but quickly experienced a decline at the box office. As of today (Day 10), the box office collection of the Ram Charan starrer has reached Rs 0.19 crore, till now. In the first 9 days, the total box office collection has crossed the mark of 123 crore and with a slow pace on the 10th day.
The movie’s collections showed a fluctuating trend over the first two weeks. Overall, the film’s total collections have reached Rs 123.17 crore by the end of the second week.
On Day 1, Friday, it made Rs 51 crore, with significant contributions from Telugu and Hindi. However, collections began to dip with Day 2, Saturday, which saw a sharp decline of 57.65 per cent to Rs 21.6 crore. The downward trend continued on Day 3, Sunday, with a 26.39 per cent drop to Rs 15.9 crore, followed by Day 4, Monday, which saw a further fall of 51.89 per cent to Rs 7.65 crore.
On Day 5, Tuesday, collections showed a slight recovery with a 30.72 per cent increase to Rs 10 crore, but then dipped again on Day 6, Wednesday, with a 30 per cent decline to Rs 7 crore. The downward slide continued on Day 7, Thursday, with a 35.71 per cent drop to Rs 4.5 crore. By the end of Week 1, total collections stood at Rs 117.65 crore.
The second week started with another decline, as Day 8, Friday, saw Rs 2.75 crore, a 38.89 per cent drop. Day 9, Saturday, brought a smaller dip of 6.18 per cent, with Rs 2.58 crore in collections, while Day 10, Sunday, had a minimal collection of Rs 0.19 crore.
Game Changer tells the story of a newly appointed district magistrate who becomes the target of a powerful enemy involved in illegal activities. The antagonist, eager for political power, wants to eliminate anyone who threatens his control. At first, the magistrate tries to make deals with local criminals, but soon discovers a huge criminal network, exposing corruption and illegal operations across the area.
