Hema Malini angry with Media Dharmendra news: Hema Malini has slammed media outlets for spreading false news about her husband Dharmendra’s death. In a strongly worded post on X, the veteran actor called the rumours “extremely disrespectful and irresponsible.”

She has urged news channels to respect the family’s privacy as Dharmendra and adds that the actor is responding to treatment and recovering.

‘This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible’

“What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy,” the veteran actress wrote on X.

Esha Deol, daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Malini, also echoed the same sentiment in her earlier post. She dismissed reports of her father’s demise by taking to X, clarifying that the veteran actor is stable.

“The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for Papa’s speedy recovery,” she wrote.

What fueled Dharmendra’s death rumours?

Many prominent personalities posted about the actor’s demise on social media which added fuel to his death rumours. Late last evening, Malini had posted about Dharmendra’s stable health.

“I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him.🙏 I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery,” the actress wrote.

Lyricist Javed Akhtar and Rajnath Singh were among those who posted about the veteran actor’s demise.

“With Dharm Ji an era of Indian film industry has come to its end. He was a perfect combination of masculinity and gentleness. Dignity and humility. Charm and power. Any one who looks at his body of work will know that he was an actor for all the seasons. He was a kind and a polite person with a heart of gold. My deepest condolences to Deol family. We who have been fortunate enough to work with him will always miss him,” wrote Javed Akhtar.

“Deeply saddened by the demise of veteran actor and former MP Shri Dharmendra ji. A versatile actor who brought life to many memorable characters with his unmatched charm and sincerity. His remarkable contribution to Indian cinema will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to his family and admirers,” wrote Rajnath Singh.

The speculations started on Monday with reports claiming the actor is on ventilator support. However, soon family sources clarified that the actor is under observation and is stable.

The actor, was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on October 31 for a routine checkup.
