Mumbai is dancing to the rhythm of excitement as global pop sensation Enrique Iglesias has announced a second concert in the city after tickets for his first show sold out at lightning speed. Returning to India after 13 years, the Spanish singer, best known for chartbusters like ‘Bailamos’, ‘Hero’ and ‘Escape’, will now perform on October 29 in addition to his previously scheduled show on October 30. Both concerts will take place at MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex.

The event is being produced and promoted by EVA Live in partnership with BEW Live. And if the ticket frenzy is any indication, Iglesias still reigns supreme in Indian hearts.

“I have missed performing in India. The fans there are some of the most loyal and passionate in the world. Since my first show back in 2004, the love has always been unreal,” said the 50-year-old pop icon in a statement. “I can’t wait to get back to Mumbai and bring them this new show,” he added.

This marks Iglesias’s first performance in India since 2012, when he toured Delhi, Pune and Bengaluru. His return was already making headlines but the near-instantaneous sellout of the first show cemented the buzz.

Deepak Chaudhary, founder and managing director of EVA Live, called the response “phenomenal and truly historic”, adding, “The sheer speed at which tickets were snapped up confirms the unparalleled excitement for his return. We’re thrilled to announce a second show so more fans can be part of this spectacular experience.”

With general ticket sales having opened on June 29, fans eager to catch the Latin heartthrob live are already flocking to secure seats for the newly announced October 29 performance.
