After Deepika Padukone’s exit from Spirit, Triptii Dimri has been officially announced as the new female lead. The much-talked about film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and features Prabhas as the leading actor. Both Dimri and Vanga took to social media over the weekend to confirm this development. On Saturday, Dimri shared the film’s title poster, prominently featuring her name in multiple Indian and international languages. Amid all the controversy around the film, we find out Triptii Dimri’s whopping charge for Spirit.

As per reports, Deepika Padukone sought a fee above Rs 20 crore, which Vanga and the producers of the film could not accommodate. Now, according to regional entertainment portals such as Telugu 360, Triptii is charging a significantly lower fee, of around Rs 4 crore. These figures have not been officially confirmed.

Dimri is no stranger to Sandeep Reddy Vanga as a director. She previously worked with him on 2023’s blockbuster film, Animal.

Announcing that she’d be part of the film, Triptii expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, writing: “Still sinking in… So grateful to be trusted with this journey. Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga… Honoured to be a part of your vision.”

Vanga also extended a warm welcome to the actress, posting the same promotional image with the caption: “The female lead for my film is now official.”

Now paired with Prabhas, Dimri’s role in Spirit marks a significant milestone in her rising career.

Following her exit from Spirit, Deepika has reportedly joined the cast of Allu Arjun’s next film with director Atlee. While she hasn’t officially announced her upcoming slate, there’s speculation that she will be a part of Kalki’s sequel and might also appear in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer King.
