Dhurandhar worldwide box office collection day 5: Ranveer Singh‘s comeback has been like no other! Marked by controversy, drama, and buzz, Dhurandhar was the iconic December release Bollywood had been waiting for. Reigniting the box office passion after Saiyaara, Dhurandhar has had a speedy run at the big screen. After a Rs 28 crore opening day and beating the biggest rom-com of the year, it also became a weekend favourite with little to no competition.
The magnum opus also became Ranveer Singh’s sixth-biggest grosser so far, but it seems that Akshaye Khanna has stolen the spotlight. Fans are praising his second powerful performance this year after Chhaava’s Aurangzeb. While some feel he even overshadowed Ranveer Singh, director Farah Khan felt it was an ‘Oscar-worthy’ stint. The background score, now viral, featuring Khanna’s entry in the film, has been compared to Animal’s iconic Jamal Kudu by fans online, which features the iconic villain Bobby Deol. As positive reviews rave about this Aditya Dhar directorial, the part two announcement has sent the excitement through the roof.
