Devara Box Office Collection – Day 1: The highly anticipated movie “Devara” hit the screens on Friday, and the box office numbers are already creating quite a buzz in the industry. Koratala Siva’s directed movie, starring Jr NTR, opened with strong box office numbers, earning over Rs 77 crore net on its first day in India, as per Sacnilk.com. Produced by Kosaraju Hari Krishna and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under the banners of NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, the film had more than 8,000 screenings across multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Devara, which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, saw an impressive 79.56% occupancy in Telugu with 1,726 shows in Hyderabad alone. It had 4,200 shows in Telugu, followed by 3,200 shows in Hindi. In Hindi, the film recorded 18.37% occupancy with 806 shows in Delhi/NCR and 517 shows in Mumbai.

In terms of earnings, the film collected ₹68.6 crore from Telugu, Rs 7 crore from Hindi, Rs 80 lakh from Tamil, and Rs 30 lakh each from Kannada and Malayalam. Globally, the movie is expected to surpass Rs 140 crore in total earnings. Devara marks Jr NTR’s first release since his global hit RRR in 2022, which made Rs 133 crore net in India. Before Devara, his highest solo opener was Aravindha Sametha in 2018, which grossed Rs 58 crore globally. Devara now stands as Jr NTR’s biggest opening to date.

In pre-sales alone, Devara raked in over Rs 45 crore gross in India and approximately Rs 30 crore overseas, including premiere sales. It is now the second-biggest opener of 2024, following Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, which earned Rs 95 crore net in India and Rs 191.5 crore gross worldwide. With no major releases on September 27, Devara is expected to dominate the box office throughout the weekend.

The film, which is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, features Jr NTR in a dual role, with Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist Bhaira. The ensemble cast also includes Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Shine Tom Chacko, and Srikanth. Devara was released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
