In a landmark moment for Bollywood, the Jawan actress has been selected to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Motion Pictures category, class of 2026. The announcement was made during a live-streamed event hosted by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, marking a significant milestone in the global recognition of Indian talent.

Padukone becomes the first Indian national to earn this prestigious honour, joining an illustrious list of recipients that includes Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, and Demi Moore. This feat proves her growing influence in the international film circuit and her role as a cultural ambassador for India on the world stage. With a career boasting of critically acclaimed performances and box-office successes, her selection highlights the increasing global reach of Indian cinema and its stars.

“This recognition is not just about my work but about what it means for all of us,” Padukone said in a brief statement following the announcement. “I hope this paves the way for more South Asian representation around the world.”
