Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has given a smashing start to December, packed with promising releases. As Christmas and New Year are just round the corner, movie-lovers are looking forward to watch interesting content on theatres as well as OTT. From Dharmendra’s last film Ikkis to Kartik Aryan’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, a bunch of big movies are hitting the theatres on Christmas 2025. Here’s a look:

Ikkis

From Border to Uri: The Surgical Strike, war films have fascinated audience since decades. After Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur won crucial acclaim for bringing alive the battle of Rezang LA, a significant chapter of 1962 Sino-Indian War, Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis tells the story of Arun Khetrapal, second Lieutenant, who was martyred at the age of 21 during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Playing Arun’s father Brigadier M.L. Khetarpal, Dharmendra will return one last time on silver screen in Ikkis and fans can’t wait to watch the evergreen star of cinema for his final outing.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri

After Pati Patni Aur Woh, Kartik Aryan and Ananya Panday return to set silver screen on fire with their brilliant chemistry in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Dharma Productions, the film falls in the romcom genre. The first teaser of the film is already out where Kartik Aryan humorously talks about his three failed relationships and is resolved to make the fourth one work. This is the first time Karan Johar and Kartik Aryan are coming together for a project.

One of them being the horror-comedy Anaconda, a metafictional sequel to Anaconda (1997). The movie directed by Tom Gormican stars Paul Rudd and Jack Black in the lead roles.

      Anaconda

While it may seem so from the title, it isn’t the remake of the original Anaconda or its sequels. In fact, it is one of those movie-within-a movie plots, where four childhood friends going through a mid-life crisis decide to remake their favourite 1990s horror movie. However, unexpected events happen when they enter the jungle. The film, directed by Tom Gormican, stars Jack Black and Paul Rudd.

        Avatar Fire and Ash

James Cameron returns for the third movies of the Avatar series – Avatar Fire and Ash. The conflict on Pandora escalates as Jake and Neytiri’s family encounter a new, aggressive Na’vi tribe. The trailer introduces the viewers to the new Ash Clan, which have developed a symbiotic relationship with fire. Washington (Jake Sully), Saldaña (Neytiri), Sigourney Weaver (Kiri), Joel David Moore (Norm Spellman), Jack Champion (Javier ‘Spider’ Socorro), Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles Quaritch) and Dalton (Lo’ak) will return as cast members in the new film to be released on December 19, 2025, a few days before Christmas.

          Sirai

Inspired from a real event, the Tamil documentary-style film stars Vikram Prabhu in a transformative performance. The story follows a cop tasked with escorting a young accused to court. As the police officer gets to know about the accused’s past, he gains unique insights into the case and the person behind it.

As the debutante director Suresh Rajakumari weaves a real life story into a fictional, the film promises a thrilling ride.
