It seems that both filmmaker SS Rajamouli and actress Sridevi have left behind their row and moved on – no grudges borne. As per a latest report, after enjoying the never seen before success of his magnum opus Baahubali 2, the director has begun working on his next film. For this, reportedly, he is all set to team up with Mollywood megastar Mohanlal. However, the part of the report that really surprised is the presence of Sridevi in the flick. According to India Today, the film will have Bollywood actress Sridevi in the lead. The controversy between Rajamouli and Sridevi had emerged when the two exchanged words on why she refused to play the powerful role of Sivagami in the Baahubali franchise that was finally played by Ramya Krishnan.
According to a report of The Indian Express, Sridevi had cleared the air on the issue. In the report, the actress had recalled the rumours that she asked about Rs 10 crore for the role, including an entire floor in a hotel and 10 flight tickets among others. However, perplexed over whether the producer wrongly told Rajamouli that she made all those demands or there could have been some miscommunication, she said hearing such things really hurts. She had further said in the report that she had seen a Rajamouli interview and was shocked and hurt by it. The way he spoke about the issue made her feel very sad. She had further rubbished the rumours about her high remuneration demands. However, at the end, she had said that never took anything for that matter to the heart. And it will turn true if she will be cast in Rajamouli film. As per the reports, the film is expected to go on the floors next year. However, there is no official confirmation with regard to these reports.
