A candid conversation between celebrated Bollywood director Farah Khan and ‘The Ba**ds of Bollywood‘ star Raghav Juyal has gone viral on social media. A segment from Khan’s popular vlog, she expressed her kind comments towards Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, as the duo talked about the latest trends in Bollywood.

Celebrating the success of the Netflix series, life for Juyal has changed after ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. The actor has transitioned from a background dancer to a TV star, and has made it big after his praiseworthy performances in Kill and Aryan Khan’s ‘The Bads of Bollywood’. Becoming a fan-favourite and a meme template, Juyal’s character, Parvaiz, received a lot of love, too. Speaking about the star of the show, Farah Khan praised Aryan Khan for his directorial sense and was shocked to learn a particular fact about his journey in filmmaking.

Farah Khan’s ‘worthy successor’

Revealing that she watched the entire series 3 to 4 months ahead of its Netflix release, she remarked that she wasn’t in the show at all. Speaking to producer Gauri Khan, they compared notes on Aryan Khan. Commenting on the shift in the narrative, Juyal and Khan quipped that she was like a teacher to Aryan Khan and how, “Farah Khan‘s filmmaking was back.”

She acknowledged the viral opinions that Aryan Khan was a worthy successor of the Main Hoon Na maker. “Who better than him,” Farah Khan remarked. She added that she “never knew Om Shanti Om was his favourite movie.” Juyal, who seemed surprised, replied that, “Our whole series is like that, we were so heart-driven and convincing…” But it was only when Farah Khan watched Aryan Khan’s ‘The Ba**ds of Bollywood,’ that she realised the inspiration.

Raghav Juyal on Farah’s era

Known for her timeless hits like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan has always added slapstick humour to her films. Witty dialogues and quirky, sometimes disgusting, character traits are the signature elements to her productions.

Reminiscing about the iconic role played by Satish Shah in Main Hoon Na, Juyal and Farah Khan shared a hearty laugh. They commented on how Gen-Z is coming back to these films. “Gen-Z likes Tees Maar Khan, now,” remarked Khan. The Ba**ds of Bollywood star also opined that the overall comedy in Bollywood films has declined. “Gone are the days when we used to fall from our seats, laughing in cinema halls,” he said, and Khan nodded in approval.
