Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has amassed an impressive income of Rs 350 crore for the financial year 2024-25, resulting in a tax liability of Rs 120 crore. According to sources, he made his final advance tax payment of Rs 52.50 crore on March 15 this year.
Bachchan’s diverse income sources include brand endorsements, multiple film projects, and his earnings from hosting the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
Currently, he is hosting KBC 16, which airs on Sony TV every weekday at 9 PM. His last on-screen appearance was in the Tamil film Vettaiyan, where he shared the screen with Rajinikanth. The film premiered in October last year.
Looking ahead, Bachchan is set to star in Ribhu Dasgupta’s legal drama Section 84. Additionally, he will play a crucial role in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin.
In Kalki 2898 AD, Bachchan portrayed Ashwatthama, the immortal son of sage Dronacharya, who roams the Earth searching for the prophesised ‘Kalki’ avatar of Lord Vishnu—the last hope for both himself and the world. The film also starred Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, among others.
