After the stunning three weeks and almost unopposed run the Aamir Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer ‘PK’ enjoyed, the movie that has set new records finally meets competition in the form of the new release ‘Tevar’ that features Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.
Though opening slightly lesser than expected, reports suggest that the film has opened to a 60% occupancy rate across the country. Though the Rajkumar Hirani directed film continues to run though at a highly diminished rate, ‘PK’, along with the Hollywood release ‘Taken 3’, will likely provide competition to the new release this week.
On the whole, ‘Tevar’ is expected to dominate over the weekend and ‘PK’ could last another week, while the ‘Taken 3’ that features a limited release is expected to pick up over the evening and night shows.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted “‘Tevar’ wins you over completely and has all the ingredients to strike a chord with moviegoers.'”
Here’s what Adarsh tweeted on ‘Tevar’:
#Tevar wins you over completely. Has all the ingredients to strike a chord with moviegoers. 2015 should start with a bang!
