In the wake of the Uttar Pradesh (UP) police recruitment paper leak scandal, significant administrative changes have been made. Renuka Mishra, who formerly chaired the recruitment board, has been removed from her position, with Rajeev Krishna entrusted with the crucial responsibility of leading the Board, according to ANI.
This move comes as a response to the breach of integrity in the recruitment process. More than 48 lakh aspiring candidates had eagerly participated in the selection process aimed at filling more than 60,000 coveted constable positions within UP police. However, the integrity of the examination was compromised when it was discovered that the paper had been leaked prior to the scheduled date.
The cancellation of the exam was deemed necessary to uphold the principles of justice and ensure that all candidates have an equal and fair opportunity to compete for these vital roles in law enforcement.
