As per the agency’s data, an additional 117,144 individuals with education up to Class 12 have also applied for the position.

A HKRN official said that a contractual sweeper employed by the government departments, boards and corporations through via HKRN will get around Rs 15,000 per month.

The job entails cleaning, sweeping and taking out garbage from  public spaces, roads, and buildings. The official also mentioned that it’s unlikely applicants applied by mistake, given that the job description clearly outlines the responsibilities.

The official explained that applicants must submit an undertaking confirming they have read the job description and agree to be posted exclusively in their home district.

According to a Hindustan Times report, there is an unemployment issue going on in the state due to which so many graduates and postgraduates are applying for such posts.
