UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will soon announce the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Preliminary Result 2025 on its official website. Candidates who appeared for the exam on May 25 can check their results once they are published on the official website, upsc.gov.in. While the Commission has not yet confirmed the exact date and time of the UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2025, trends from previous years suggest that the results may be declared any day now.

The Preliminary examination, which is a screening test, has two objective-type papers (MCQs) of 250 marks each. Number of vacancies

For the 2025 recruitment cycle, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) aims to fill a total of 979 vacancies across several prestigious services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

Out of these, 38 positions are reserved under the Benchmark Disability category. This includes 12 vacancies for individuals with blindness or low vision, 7 for those who are deaf or hard of hearing, 10 for candidates with locomotor disabilities, and 9 for individuals with multiple disabilities, including deaf-blindness.

Candidates who qualify for the Prelims will be eligible to appear for the Mains Examination, which is scheduled to begin on August 22, 2025. The Mains is a written exam comprising nine papers, followed by an interview round for those who clear it.
