CBSE 2025: According to recent reports, students who are beginning their class 10 and class 12 education from the academic year 2024-25 will be the first batch on the central board to appear for multiple board exams.
The report said that the Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the first-ever multiple board exams in 2025. The senior officials at the Ministry of Education provided the information regarding the same.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan mentioned in an interview that the exam will be conducted twice in a year and will begin from 2024-25 implying that the format will be adopted in the 2025 board exams for the class 10 and class 12 students.
According to authorities, the new bi-annual examination system for class 10 and 12 students will not be compulsory. The introduction of multiple board exams aims to alleviate the stress faced by students worried about missing a single opportunity. If a candidate is well-prepared and content with their score in one set of exams, they have the option to skip the second exam.
In the 2023 CBSE board exams, approximately 38.2 lakh students participated in the class 10 and class 12 board exams. Officials from the Education Ministry anticipate that the first of the 2025 board exams will take place in November-December 2024, with the second exam scheduled for February-March 2025. The final result and merit list will consider the scores from the better of the two exams.
