The results on May 7 will be released simultaneously for all streams — Science, Commerce, and Arts. There is no staggered release based on academic discipline.

In 2024, Avik Das from McWilliam Higher Secondary School topped the exams with an impressive 496 out of 500 (99.2%). He was closely followed by Soumyadip Saha and Abhishek Gupta with 495 and 494 marks respectively. Two girls also tied for fourth rank.

Last year, there were 91,838 more girl students than boys who appeared for the exams. The male-to-female ratio stood at 44:56, reflecting a positive trend in girls’ education in the state.

In 2024 results, the top 10 ranks were shared by 58 students from 15 districts. Hooghly led with 13 toppers, followed by Bankura (9), Dakshin 24 Parganas (7) and Kolkata (5).

Before checking their results, students should keep their roll number and date of birth ready, as there is no facility to search results by name.

The mark sheet will include the student’s name, roll number, total marks, subject-wise theory and practical marks, grade, and pass/fail status. A QR code embedded in the certificate can be scanned to verify authenticity and access digital records instantly.

Students can collect their official mark sheets and certificates from their respective schools starting May 8, 2025. These documents are essential for college admissions and should be preserved carefully. They also include a QR code for digital verification of marks and personal details.

WBCHSE does not support name-based search for result checking. Only students who know their roll number and date of birth can access their marks. This policy is in place to maintain privacy and data integrity of students’ personal academic records.

Students who may not have internet access can use SMS to check their results. Type WB12roll number and send it to either 5676750 or 58888. The result will be delivered via SMS, which includes subject-wise marks and overall qualifying status.
