Jagdeep Dhankhar, vice-president cautioned students during a convocation ceremony at the Indira Gandhi National Open University in the national capital, highlighting the significance of thinking differently and moving beyond the conventional approach represented by coaching classes. He urged students to explore diverse opportunities beyond competitive examinations, stressing that innovation stems from unique perspectives, according to an official statement.
Dhankhar encouraged young minds to embrace creativity and discard doubts and insecurities, advocating for the mind as a repository of groundbreaking ideas. He underscored the necessity of daily mental cleansing, eliminating negativity and fearlessly implementing constructive ideas.
Dhankhar emphasised that innovation arises from challenging the norm, exemplified by coaching classes, which he described as perpetuating the status quo rather than fostering genuine intellectual exploration or serving as temples of knowledge.
Furthermore, he noted the evolving landscape where individuals pursuing civil service careers are venturing into new realms like entrepreneurship, agriculture, and marketing, showcasing the diverse opportunities available beyond traditional paths.
