The Union Public Service Commission released results for the recently conducted NDA 1 exam on Monday evening. Candidates can check the merit list through the official website at upsc.gov.in. The UPSC NDA 1 exam was conducted earlier this month to fill more than 400 vacancies across the Indian Army, Naval Academy and Air Force Wings.
The UPSC test for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) was conducted on April 13 to fill 406 vacancies within various Indian Armed Force departments. The Service Selection Board will now screen eligible candidates for officer positions in the Indian Armed Forces during a five-day assessment process. Data from previous years indicates that around 4 to five lakh candidates register for the exam annually — with around 7000 to 8,000 people clearing the first round.

The NDA 1 exam is held in multiple choice format — comprising of a mathematics paper and a general ability test — totalling 900 marks. Qualifying candidates will now be eligible for the 900 mark SSB test or interview.

- Search for your roll number and check the results once it loads on a fresh webpage

What comes next?
The National Defence Academy selection process is held in two stages — written exam followed by the SSB interview. Candidates who have cleared the exams will now be eligible to appear for the next round. They will be able to choose their interview date and time and consequently generate a call-up letter from the respective service board websites. There are two parts to the upcoming interview — intelligence and personality test — with a grand total of 900 marks. Candidates will have to clear the first stage to become elgible for the second part of the SSB test.
