The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) has officially announced the Class 10 SSLC exam results today, May 16. Students can check their marks by visiting the official websites — dge.tn.nic.in and tnresults.nic.in. To view their digital marksheet, students must log in using their roll number and date of birth as stated on their hall tickets.

TN SSLC Result 2025 pass percentage

The TN SSLC pass percentage has shown a steady increase over the years. In 2025, the overall pass percentage rose to 93.80%, up from 91.55% in 2024, 91.39% in 2023, and 90.07% in 2022. Notably, in 2021 and 2020, the pass percentage was 100% due to the pandemic-related evaluation methods. The girls have outperformed boys once again. The pass percentage among girls stands at 95.88%, while the pass percentage among boys is 91.74%.

Exam highlights

This year, over 9 lakh students appeared for the SSLC exams across the state. The theory examinations were conducted from March 28 to April 15, 2025, while the practical exams were held earlier between February 22 and 28.

District performance

Historically high-performing districts such as Tirupur, Erode, and Chennai are again expected to be among the top scorers.

Last year results

In 2024, the Tamil Nadu Board announced the SSLC (Class 10) results on May 10. The board examinations were conducted from March 26 to April 8 that year. The overall pass percentage recorded was 91.55%, marking a slight improvement from 91.39% in 2023.

Out of the 8,94,264 students who appeared for the Class 10 exams in 2024, a significant majority successfully cleared them. Gender-wise, female students outperformed their male counterparts — with a pass percentage of 94.53% compared to 88.58% among boys.

Notably, the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations chose not to release a list of top-performing students in 2024, continuing a trend from the previous year.
