The Vibrant Gujarat summit has emerged as a pivotal platform driving advancements, with particular emphasis on the education sector in this year’s summit. Reflecting on the key outcomes, Prafful Pansheriya, Minister of State (MOS) for Education, highlighted the significant progress in education achieved through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) inked during the summit, as per the official announcement.

“In the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, the Education Department has signed an MoU amounting to Rs 3325.26 crore, while another substantial MoU worth Rs 1060.14 crore is on the verge of being finalised,” Pansheriya said.

The Education Department has committed an amount of Rs 3325.26 crore through the signed MoU that aims to fortify the educational landscape of the state. Additionally, there is anticipation surrounding another noteworthy MoU valued at Rs 1060.14 crore, poised to further enhance Gujarat’s educational infrastructure, as per the statement. 

The Technical Education sector is set to receive a boost with the formalisation of an MoU valued at Rs 25.26 crore. This financial commitment aims to enrich technical education avenues, aligning with the state’s vision for skill development and technological progress. Furthermore, a forthcoming MoU with a financial implication of Rs 35 crore is expected, marking the initial step into the vibrant initiatives outlined for this sector.

“A Technical Education MoU worth Rs 25.26 crore has been signed. Meanwhile, the Rs 35 crore MoU will be a pioneering initiative. In Higher Secondary, an MoU worth Rs 3300 crore has been inked, with Rs 417.29 crore pending. Additionally, an MoU worth Rs 607.85 crore will be signed in school education,” Pansheriya said. 

Another allocation of Rs 3300 crore has been earmarked for Higher Secondary education through the signed MoUs. Furthermore, an awaited MoU of Rs 417.29 crore is poised to contribute to the holistic development of Higher Secondary education. The school education sector is not lagging behind, with a significant MoU of Rs 607.85 crore awaiting execution, providing momentum to primary education initiatives, as per the statement. 

MOS Education Prafful Pansheriya expressed optimism about the impact these MoUs are expected to have on Gujarat’s education sector. The financial commitments are projected to usher in modernisation, infrastructure development and an overall improvement in the quality of education.
