Tata Capital, the primary financial services division of the Tata Group, has launched the Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2023-2024. This scholarship programme has a noble objective of empowering and assisting students hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in their pursuit of higher education, according to an official release.

The Pankh Scholarship welcomes applications from students enrolled in senior secondary, undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate courses. Prospective applicants for this scholarship programme must adhere to specific eligibility criteria. First, the annual income of the student’s family should not surpass Rs 2,50,000, aggregating all sources of income. Second, applicants need to have attained a minimum score of 60% in their qualifying examination, with the assessment being predominantly percentage-based. Third, the selection process involves an interview, where successful candidates who pass the telephonic interview will proceed to the final committee round, the release mentioned. 

Notably, children of employees working at Tata Capital and Buddy4Study are ineligible for this scholarship opportunity. Eligible applicants have the chance to receive scholarships that cover up to 80% of their tuition fees or a monetary grant ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000, depending on their chosen course of study and financial need. Tata Capital’s employees also play a crucial role in the Pankh Scholarship Programme, where they provide mentorship and guidance to students to help them excel in their chosen field of study. The deadline for submitting applications for the Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Programme is November 15, 2023, as per the release.
